This book, in three parts, chronicles the history of Sudan from ancient times until the beginning of the twentieth century, where the author begins his historical journey in the first part, starting from the era of the Pharaohs, Ptolemies, and Romans.
In this context, it reviews Sudan’s kingdoms, sultanates, emirates, tribes and religions, the migration of Arab tribes to it, its contemporaneity with the Mamluks and Turks, and until the rise of the Mahdist revolution. Then, in the second part of the book, the author moves to the events of the elimination of the Mahdist revolution and the 1889 agreement.
It also addresses the Sudanese geographical, agricultural, commercial, financial and educational dimensions. Then, in the last part of the book, he turns to the biographies of Prince Omar Toson about Sudan and the bodies that participated in the Egyptian economic mission to Sudan, along with a description of its journey and the results it reached.
